here bare butts explained what i heard just a few days ago. the citizens of this city circulate a charter amendment and submit it to the council as they were suppose to do. yet it never reaches the county board of elections. clearly the law director knows better than this or was there no time to call in an expert like before? or at least someone that can at least act like an attorney. what do the council members think their responsibility is when citizens propose a charter amendment, ignore it? there was no fraud and they had enough signatures because they also submitted two other petitions that had enough verified signatures on them. clearly ohio law doesn't matter here in our little corner of ohio. i must have moved to cuba instead of ohio.

should the ohio supreme court slap their collective hands? should they file contempt charges against the council and mayor? what about the half an hour break and meeting they held in the back room just before the non vote on this charter amendment? obvviously they all (with the exception of mr. shaver)ignore the law the written by higher authority here in ohio. they ignore this petition because they don't like it? they ignore this petition because they think they changed four words that were not capitalized? is it the function of the law director to eread the minds of every citizen and determine whether the people signing these petition read the proposed amendment? then mapes the decision that the wrong charter was amended baseed on two words. maybe mapes needs to find another career with the travelling carnival guessing peoples weight and ages. I think he would make a killing. at least there he wouldn't be denying AMERICAN CITIZENS THEIR CONSITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
