Well, if this is supposed to be about growth control, why do we keep getting interrupted by all these advertising presentations by homebuilders?
HOST: well that?’s what the sponsors (City Council members) wanted and since all the cards are in their hands ?– annexations, law suits, killing petitions the network was willing to have them foot the bill.

Mr. Shaver, you are always voting, commenting, pointing out things and making these City Council meetings so long ?– what?’s your reasoning?
ANSWER: Much like Thomas Jefferson, I have a moral philosophy of democracy. Jefferson swore his hostility, to ?“every form of tyranny over the mind of man.?” During his lifetime he sought to develop a government that would best assure the freedom and well-being of the individual. The process of this Council, with it?’s tabling and posturing for Growth Meetings only shows their attempts to ?“quiet the citizens?” into insensibility. I am not deceived, as they continue to damage our future with uncontrolled growth.
He?’s out of order interrupts Mayor Hughes!!
?“No sir, you are out to lunch?”, states the Game show host. You?’ve already killed an earlier round Growth Summit Meetings and even though we all know this is a shame you?’re not a Council member and have no standing here.
Lastly Mr. Wright, you?’re the member that called these Growth Games meetings. What have you done in your duration in office to have a positive impact on growth?
ANSWER: I?’ve done plenty. I?’ve sat in my chair and voted time and again for only little subdivisions ( less than 1,000 homes ). I kept these scores of subdivisions of hundreds smaller than just one big subdivision. If that?’s not growth control, I don?’t know what is. Now that we?’ve cleared up where I stand, I?’d appreciate if the audience would let us go back to ?“our?” work. Moratoriums, Community Authorities, limiting building permit application approvals, just mucks up our adherence to Joyce?’s ( I mean our) Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
