Do you support David??

You now have had two postings about whether David Shaver and others support other candidates besides Hackworth. Being Irish let me answer that with a question do you support David Shaver? If so how have you shown that support? Have you left David alone at the Council meetings to defend the vast majority that have written leaders with their own name on them and posted messages on this web site with their own name on them. Has these others come forward and spoke in defense of David Shaver? Have these other candidates took stands on local issues that support David Shaver? Have these other candidates communicated in any way how they feel and how they would act on council. Can they take the heat of the kitchen as Harry Truman once said? Can you or others take the abuse sure to come your way if the establishment turns their guns on you?

Leadership by defenition is in FRONT not from the Shadows. Look at some old Civil War paintings the guy with the saber is the officer in charge. He is in the front of the company either on foot or mounted high on a horse as a target. His leadership determined whether or not that battle was won. Do these other candidates have that courage to lead this city and it's people?

Now let me get out the ladder so I can climb up on my soapbox.

I am so sick of our elected officials stating how a recall is just for criminal activity. Take a look what happened in Newton Falls OHIO earlier THIS YEAR. They recalled 2 city councilmen, whom many people respected and liked, because of the the way they were spending the city's $. Sound familiar? Links at the bottom of this note.

Next of all does anyone have an email address for Mr. Kiger? My blood is boiling over his letter to the editor and I've got a couple of things I'd like to discuss with him personally. I'd rather not take my thoughts to the editor on this one.

Only once in my life have I voted for a Democrat running against a Republican. I'll let you guess who that was and also how glad I am now that I voted the way I did even though the Democrat lost!
