It's not personal It's necessary

Ted and others:

Sometimes taking the high ground is good ?– sometimes it?’s not. I see and agree with your position to not support a future recall effort.

However, my position is if the citizens of this community wait for the elections in 2003, it will, no doubt, be too late. The looting will be over -- the city will be bankrupt -- there will be nothing left.

And we all know... ?“How goes the city, so goes the Township (as a whole)?”. Since last year?’s elections, we?’ve seen how much damage the city can do in one year to our community, or way of life and, most importantly, our schools. Drastic situations call for drastic measures. This is not personal, it?’s for the life and death of our community, our quality-of-life, and our schools!

I?’ll soon be posting prices and the logistics for getting your very own ?“Recall City Council?”. Stay tuned?….
Not about Spin? Please

Dear Anonymous and Others:

Thanks for your honest replies to my posting.

Revenge? I don't think so. Since when is telling the truth revenge? If you had any idea how little truth you had access to, you'd be shocked.

You have to win the battle of public perception to win the war, which I think is what you have here in Pickerington--a war, of sorts.

The key word is perception. Perception is reality, especially these days, like it or not.

You're up against people who will do anything to win, and will pay anything they need to in order to win, whether it be to their own personal pundits, experts, lawyers, developers or statisticians.

They've got deep ties to people who are in tight with opinion makers across media, and deep pockets, too. Let's face it, when you are talking about posing a threat to someone's pocketbook or livelihood, you are in for a tough fight. Add that to the so-called character of the people you are up against, and you have to admit, it is a pretty powerful combination, otherwise, you all would have been able to end this pompous reign of political terror long ago.

Mr. Brinson is right--the longer this goes on-if even for a year until the 2003 elections--the heavier the damage to the community and the quality of life will be. If you doubt that, just think about how much has changed since this time last year, from City Council appointments, to plat approvals, to this ill-conceived house building boom we all find ourselves in the middle of each day.

Ted is right

Ted is right the voters will decide, and when I posted that I did not include the following, ''meaning after Tuesday, the voters will then get to decide in a recall.'' I see why Ted will not headline it and applaud him for his honesty and belief that it would not be proper to do so. We certainly need more honesty in the community.

I do believe a recall is necessary to prevent the futher decay of the community.

The problem at city hall has been obvious to lots of people for a long time. It's too bad those former city employees did not document all of these problems in writing or copies as now it is their word against those in city hall. We all know who won that one.

I have seen you be naive and march in step with the city manager directives in the past, you then started to see what exactly was going on and cried foul. They got you by a set up or by your own mistakes. Next time, take notes and give them to a neutral party before you squeal to the mayor. Talk to other former city employees who left and know the score. They will teach you to cover your ass :) If you would have done this homework, you would't be here now would you. Then, you really could have helped the cause.

You see many of us saw the old spin long ago, letters to the editor from girlfriends of city council members. Unusually well written letters from the mayor(we had seen his past, less than stellar writing ability demostrated in mass amilings before you came along)and knew he was tutored on those letters to the papers, we knew it wasn't Lee Gray as his tutor,as his ability is not in pen and ink, you know where his ability is!

There is a lot going on we do not know about and a lot of connecections that are becoming more obvious. We just have 24 hours in a day to expose this and we are all volunteers!

Stay anoymous for the cause and help any way you can.
