I would agree the township has its ''issues'' also.
I would urge recall or supporting canditates
which have the residents best interests in mind.
City,Township&School Board it makes no difference! Merely winning one election will not
make the problems go away.There needs to be a
freeze or limit on building permits but thats
another issue....

There will be a limit on future gorwth here in Pickerington soon. Right now I must get everyone to support me in running a moratorium on new housing starts. I will plan on two years. I must first get a get a few questions answered and I need to do some task prior to proposing this next initiative.

One task is to make sure that I don't move the problems out to the Township. I am urgeing the Township Trustees to study the idea of becoming a Charter Township. I am also urgeing them to study and maybe adopt (with voter approval) simular provisions of the orange township zoning code in Deleware County. This would allow them to have uch more control over local zoning isssues.

Getting the Township aware and how they might survive is already in progress.

I also must consult an attorney on the best way to propose this initiative.

I am also running into the Holidays and this will probably delay action until the first of the year. Give you recall guys a chance.

I now know that with Tuesday turnout at the polls we will now need 366 signatures for any new initiatives or referendums. I also need to wait until the new section of the city charter is changed probably around 11/24 to make sure I amend the right charter.


Then when I have it set in my mind I will recruit the circulators and we will be off gathering signatures.

I sure hope the weather is nice in January. Getting too old to walk in the cold weather.
