I know you guy's(council) never look at this website.

So, I will tell everyone that happens to read this website that Ted Hackworth deserves and earned, a seat on council.

Mr. Hackworth is the best man for the job.

I am sure that my opinion will be ruled invalid by someone at city hall.

I appreciate the freedom,

Tim Bryant
Who else?

Since there are 2 seats open, is Mr. Hackworth the only person you and your compadres here on this website endorse? Are there others or will just getting him appointed be adequate?

Aren't there other people out there that, while maybe not as publicly as Mr. Hackworth, still support the efforts to change and would serve the community well?

I think that the information and discourse presented on this website is invaluable and often can't be gained elsewhere. However, I think that the regular contributors sometimes get a little tunnel-visioned. Take your blinders off and look around. There are some other people with the necessary skills and abilities to serve the community that just aren't campaigning for appointment the same as others.

Thanks for reading this and for not being judgmental of me for saying it.
I agree.

I've already spoken to David Shaver via email and he will be dropping off an application at my house this week since I meet all of the 'qualifications'. Pulse, resident, etc.

I am however lobbying for Ted to get appointed though as I believe he is the best candidate. I sent a letter to the various editors this morning requesting Ted be appointed.

Not that I really believe city council will appoint anyone outside of their circle of influence I can't just sit back and complain without at least trying.

I found a ''Politics for Dummies'' book but couldn't find the ''City Council for Dummies'' edition anywhere! ;-)

I believe you are correct.....

I believe that there are other qualified candidates out there - although I do support Ted's appointment. Those candidates, if they want Community Support, need to declare their desire for a Council position.

Personally, I wish there was a second or third candidate that we could also be supporting at this time. So far no one has said publically that they are interested.

The potential candidate needs to take the first step. Don't you think ??
