If anyone has gotten their Southeast Messenger - You may smell something fishy.
It's a rat trying to leave a sinking ship on page 4 - the center editorial. Mr. Fox needs to realize his actions speak much louder than his words. He should stand behind & be proud of his voting record.
It's nice that he is finally ready to listen to his constituents nowthat they are ready to throw him out of office. I am sure we will see other feel good letters from the rest of Council & the Mayor in the coming weeks.
If he was so sure the Community Authority would be a perfect solve why hasn't the document become public? Mr. Wright & Mayor Postage need to bring their Council up on their private discussions with the builders. Mr. Wright has said it isn't right to have meetings that aren't public - but that's only when he has to interact with them. He seems perfectly happy meeting with the BIA in secret.

Good By Fox
Yea the rat seems to be striking out at everyone. He is calling the good people of Pickerington ?“extremist?”. However this quote was taken after he wrote the letter to the Southeast Messenger. In the Messenger he claims to be in favor of controlling growth but left himself some very wide open holes to jump through on just how he might vote on the second and third reading of ordinance 2003-17 (moratorium). I doubt there will be a 2nd or 3rd reading of the ordinance.
Now this morning he is quoted in the Lancaster Eagle Gazette below:
''It's an attempt by an extremist group in the Pickerington area to rig the next election,'' Fox said. ''They want to get rid of the people who might challenge them in the next election.''
Maybe Brian can have his sister-in-law write him another fine letter about the negative extremists living within our community. She sounds like she can go off at anything for big brother?’s sake. Anyway the above quotes were after he found out City residents were trying to recall his butt.
Brian went on to say in the Lancaster Eagle Gazette:
But Fox said in his case the recall effort was not warranted under any circumstances
Didn?’t Mr. Fox claim he didn?’t do anything wrong. Let?’s see we are just trying to correct a little over sight from the Republican Central committee that elected him Chairman. You see Brian claimed he was not an elected official so he was elected into a position that he wasn?’t qualified to be in. Maybe in a few months Fox will no longer be an elected official.
He also claimed one more time that he wasn?’t running for election to the Pickerington City Council this fall, but man it sure sounded like he was running in his letter to the Southeast Messenger. Beside what did he mean above when he said, ?“They want to get rid of the people who might challenge them in the next election.'' Who was he talking about Maxey? Hell Maxey couldn?’t win dog catcher let alone City Council man. So he must mean himself. So if he isn?’t running his statement doesn?’t make sense. So Brian who is running this fall that these people are trying to rig this election, is you or Maxey?
This all coming from a man that appointed Craig Maxey after Maxey had been defeated and said, ?“Mr. Maxey was the most seasoned.?” So he re-appointed the loser back into office against the wishes of the voters. Yet he feels they have no reason to recall him. I guess those damn extremist made a big mistake this time.
Hey wait a minute how can Rookstool run for city council while living in the Township? It is more of you outside troublemakers. It has to be. I just know it.

What they said / did
So now that recall petitions will be flying about you can see how some of these folks will change tunes and sound ?“oh so innocent?”. This is a wonderful opportunity to refresh people?’s minds about what ?“they?” said. You can then compare that to what they have done. I?’m sure this will be a reoccurring opportunity over the course of the petitioner?’s activities.
Per the editorial of Oct. 20, 1999 the Editor of the Pickerington Times ?– Sun boldly stated Pickerington needs veteran leadership of Fox, Postage and Washington. Reasons ?– Fox ?…?“promises to continue working to improve city services while opposing high-density residential development.?” The voters guide states Fox?’s goals of: ?“I will continue to focus on responsible growth in Pickerington by opposing high-density housing, promoting economic development, and expanding our infrastructure.?”
