Mr. Kraulauf - you made no bones about the private meetings that CommUNITY 1st had - they even made the cartoon !!! But the fact of the matter is they put all their cards on the table & did involve the community. What I don't understand is how a document such as the Community Authority - which will have a long reaching effect on the Community - can remain behind closed doors with your blessing!

Where is the document? What does it say? People are coming out for & against it - but what does the document say? Aren't you the least bit curious? Here's a News Flash - Your readers are !!!

Let's involve the CommUNITY in the Community Authority - Mrs. Reade and Mrs. Rose have been to at least one meeting on this that has been reported. One seems for the concept & one has concerns with how this Community Authority is structured.

We want to see what people think that aren't related to the building industry or Dorothy Steiger - can you tell us?

Right on! When I first heard CommUNITY 1st was
holding ''invitation only'' meetings I complained to family, friends, anyone who would listen. My old granny set me straight. ''If you don't like it
get involved and get it changed.'' I attended the
open meeting and realized that this group is trying to address the serious issues that face our community. What is depressing is the apathy
shown by the majority of residents.

Not apathy.....

.....just bad timing. Spring Break, better weather, getting the lawn, flower beds into shape. Honoring a couple of those New Year's resolutions.....
