Bruce,
Bury the hatch! Let go of your three-year old personal vendetta about how I tried to boycott my own bank. While your talk about Chicago political bosses, poison letters, Statute of Intimidation, and substantial prison terms may excite some here on this website, that?’s not why people elected to our school board. Kicking out a citizen from a levy committee or athletic boosters may give you an ego boost; it does nothing to solve the massive problems facing our community.
Bruce, be FOR something instead of always anti-this or anti-that. Campaign to elect responsible elected officials instead of recalling those voters already elected.
Focus on the solving the problems of our schools and community. Focus on the future. Discuss issues not people ?… real issues such as saving $500,000 on busing as recommended by the Auditor last October by eliminating 12 buses. Take action as I suggested in the Columbus Dispatch on December 1, 2002 (Parade Marching into City of Great Debate) on impact fees within the entire school district of $5000 per home ?– not just within the City limits. Lobby our State Representative as I suggested to TAX THE BUILDERS as they are considering massive tax reform to our tax system. Bruce, it would have been far more helpful to our community and to the folks here on this website if you discussed how to tax the builders with our State Representative on April 6th meeting of the CommUNITY 1st rather than to discuss me and your personal opinions about Sunshine Laws.
Let?’s discuss effective methods to include more public involvement in the board decision-making process regarding the curriculum, finances and facilities.
Let?’s discuss how to build a broad-base coalition of people within the community with diverse ideas and opinions to begin to work as a team to address our community problems. Teamwork works.
Time to take action, Bruce! Bury the hatch!
