Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

Joyce Bushman, Pickerington City Manager, is responsible for issuing over 600 building permits so far this year, roughly double the amount of building permits issued during the entire 2002. Apparently the job of City Manager is to make sure the schools always have trailers, make sure rush-hour commuters always sit in traffic, and make sure the schools need to continually ask for more money in the forms of operating levies and building bonds.

Bob Mapes has made several completely false statements to the press. OK, let's call them lies. The latest one is that if City Council hurries and puts together a community authority that benefits the builders and crushes our schools and roads, the growth initiative petitions that people so diligently circulated and achieved 512 valid signatures, when only 355 were needed, it will be for naught. City Council has Mapes' full permission to subvert the will of the people.

Jerry Daley, city engineer, has been in negotiations with ODOT and Reynoldsburg over the restriping of SR 256, and the best he could come up with was to endorse a plan that fully benefits Reynoldsburg and Wal-Mart and screws the citizens of the Pickerington area. Good job, Jerry!

Who?’s responsible?

Everyone you listed is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council. The ultimate responsibility for the actions of these appointees lies within the failure of these elected position office holders. Of course votes simply need a majority to continue to bilk the public and keep these appointees doing the will of the few (Council majority / Mayor a.k.a. B.I.A. ?“Pro-growth advocates?”) over the objections of the many (majority of voting citizens). Great ?– we now have an election coming up!
Can anybody count? Only 3 positions are open this election cycle on Council and one of the NON ?“Pro-growth advocates?” of Council is running for Mayor.
If the public were to win less than all 3 seats there would still be a ?“Pro-growth advocates?” majority.
Remember who fill Council vacancies ?– COUNCIL.
You want change - knock off some of this majority now or they will forever own you!

Maybe the fat lady sings?

Well maybe just maybe the fat lady starts to sing from her Frankin County Jail Cell. Can her song be heard in Pickerington? Isn't all over when the fat lady does sing? Is Mapes first in line? What part did Bobby Mapes play here? Did he receive some of the bennies from the LLCs?

Now Mr. Fox. Was he really a partner with the Fat Lady? Does Brian now have a life time prescription card at the Drug discount store?

Joyce Bushman bless her heart she tried so hard to get rich off of the people of Pickerington and now she must face the music. Was her name on the LLCs? Leaks do occur in these cases and I see some real trouble for the gang at Lockville Road.

Then there is Lou. What did he know and when did he know it? How much did he charge for the policy? How did he profit from this scam?

Maybe the voters will not need to make the final decsion this fall, maybe the courts will do it for them.

Some of them may just be stupid

Frankly, some of them may just be pretty stupid and go along with the BIA/Darryl Charade without getting rich. I may put Postage in that catagory..as he is behind on his tax payments,according to the county auditor web site. I guess if he is getting paid he isn't sharing the proceeds with the state or school district.
