Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

I started this article by saying that it is not the intent of our community's elected officials to deny the citizens of Pickerington access to the democratic process. On the contrary, I firmly believe that the democratic process is the means by which we can address and solve the problems associated with growth that are shared by everyone in our area.

Within the input of all community members can be found the genius needed to surmount the formidable challenges we face.

I state again that we must expand this essential democratic process to include all affected parties. Pickerington cannot solve these problems by acting alone. We must come together to act as one regional community.

And the other statement about why he can't imagine they ever put in the moratorium.

I agree, but I would say Lou needs to be voted out.

My husband and I have been involved with walking several different petitions - Ted Hackworth's growth plan, Hickory Lakes, and the sewer expansion. The growth plan was denied placement on the ballot due to a technicality, and he is desperately trying to find a way to throw out the other two petitions, depite having more than enough signatures to have them placed on the upcoming ballot. Yet Lou claims to believe in the democratic process!
