Does anyone know if the PLSD has received the pledged $375,000 from Heatherbrook Developers? The developer received its zoning variance for the condos going in outside the Police Station, so they owe us AT LEAST this money. It was due ''on or before August 31'', and I haven't heard anything about this pledge in quite a while. Weren't the pay-to-participate fees based partly on the assumption that the school district would receive this money? Didn't Wes Monhollen want to cut the fees in half before receiving one dime from builders and developers? Didn't Larry Sigman want a per-family cap on pay-to-participate fees without having received one penny from builders and developers?
I hope, for our schools' sake, it has received the money.

$20,000
Some of the money promised to the schools may now be in Lou Postage for Mayor war chest. There is word on the streets that Lou Postage has raised $20,000 so far and that probably was before he filed to run for Mayor. One could only assume at this point that Lou knows he is on his way out and he will have a few extra dollars to put in his pocket once he closes his campaign account. I would also assume, like Mayors before him, most of this money is coming from the builders. You all know that he can keep what ever if left over from the campaign. Just an after office bribe to give this much to an advocate of growth mayor knowing the voters are ready to start over.
Did anyone crazy enough to attend the parade yesterday see that former Mayor Randy Hughes was walking with good old Lou? Former Mayor Lee Gray was walking with Chis Smith for council. Guess where Mr. Smith will get his campaign money from?
Please do the math folks.

PLSD has not received the money
I spoke with Vince Utterback this morning. He told me the school has not received the money. He received a verbal communication that the NEW deadline is September 15, and the pledged amount has been reduced to $300,000.
Thanks Lori Sanders and Wes Monhollen for believing in your builder/developer buddies. I guess the money won't be there when it needs to be.
Is this what Mark Uher is trying to divert the public's attention away from with his rabid attacks on Lisa Reade?

Count your fingers please
It appears that the school board has not counted their fingers after shaking hands with these developers on the deals that were made before the levy vote. If they had they would discover that a few are missing and those few missing fingers will cost the taxpayers dearly again.
