North was a mistake

?“I cannot believe you would even suggest taxpayers wasting any more money on athletic complexes, Central should share the North facilities...end of conversation?”.

So you admit that the district wasted money on athletic facilities at the North High School. Then the big push and the sales pitch we were all given in 2000 about the NEED for these facilities are no longer valid?

Apparently your child is either attending North or they have no interest in sports.

Then where did you hear they should share the facilities? I believe one of the Pickerington City Councilman has already suggested that and the schools flat out rejected it.

First is the North High School at capacity? If not why didn?’t the bus company use one of those vacant classrooms as an office and park those bus is a safer location and on school property instead of the street. Second point is since the North High is very close (or maybe someone is lying to me again) to capacity then the portables will be needed there before they are need at Central High.

Why should I run for the school board?

Why don?’t you run?

You seem to have the same tunnel vision as the rest of them on the board.

I made my suggestions and like always you and the others will ignore it.

Have any of you people given one thought to why you can?’t pass a levy. Apparently not because you are losing 2 to 1 and you have closed your collective minds to outside suggestions. You will build over sized elementary schools and keep suggesting it until the situation is so desperate and so far behind the district will be playing catch up.

Sharing the facilities is a fair solution, I do agree the excess of North was a mistake...the fact that they will not share shows how tunnel visioned they are....

my kids are swimmers, we do not have a pool at the palace, they drive 45 minutes to Lancaster burning bus gas to use that pool...

Mistake North was, but you guys are beating a dead horse.... the mistake is going to stand until the Pakistan earthquake moves West don't you think...

From what I have read on these boards over the years, Central parents are hacked off that they had to use the North track the past couple of years. Granted, Central's track was not in the best of shape, and perhaps the board did lag a little on redoing it, but they were not happy about running home meets at North.

Everyone talks about the money the athletic boosters has; I wonder why they did not front the money or pony up part of it and get the board going sooner? Maybe the Central parents should have use dthat route.

Oh, I forgot; North's people all control the booster spots on the combined organization, and they want to keep Central using crap facilities.
