Not quite right...
Athletic facilities are NOT eligible for OSFC funding.
The stadium at Ridgeview has been there for how many years? When my kids went to PHS, they never complained about their sports being played on a field that was not on the high school grounds. They loved the setting and the energy they felt from the home crowd. Baseball and softball and tennis have their facilities on the grounds at Central, but I never heard one complaint about having to go down the street to the stadium. It's a non-issue, except when someone feels they need to complain. Did you want North's stadium to be built a half-mile away so the two schools' stadiums would be ''equal''?
Chillicothe (at least several years ago this was still the case) has their football stadium behind an elementary school, nowhere close to the high school, unless they have recently built a new one.
I think a similar situation might still exist in Zanesville.
I pity those poor neglected Ohio State football players who have to travel from the athletic facility to Ohio Stadium on buses for their games.
Central is getting new bleachers, lights, a press box and a sound system. It is called an upgrade. No, it will not be equal to North, but it will be a lot better for players and spectators alike. I attend events at both schools, and the facilities will never be exactly the same unless you rebuild Central exactly like North. Talk to Mr. Kemper and see how excited he is about what they have going on at Central on BOTH the educational side as well as the extra-curricular side.
