Close to PATA

Actually Jeff Fix was not one of the original members of PATA. He was just a pretty face who was recruited in November of 2001 to be the editor of the PATA newsletter and almost two full years after PATA was formed.


In the more recent PATA newsletters Fix was absent without leave. At the most, Fix spent a year and half working as the editor of the PATA newsletter. Beyond that he did very little for the conception of PATA or the perpetuation of the PATA newsletter.

If Jeff Fix is now claiming that he was on the inside of PATA and one of its founders then he is not telling the truth. The ever forward thinking Bob Harding was the driving force behind PATA and since he has moved away the newsletter has when with him.

So the question is if Fix was the motivation for PATA and its newsletter why did he drop the effort like a hot potato when Harding left? The answer is that he was not that involved in any of the grass roots effort that PATA put forward and absolute no part in PATA conception.

Although I didn't sit in on the creation and the writing of the PATA newsletter I think the ideas and content were strictly Bob Harding not Jeff Fix. I think for Fix to now try to take credit for that work is disingenuous at the least.

Points to ponder

I think we should all consider some facts here about Mr. Fix. Clearly he has demonstrated over the years that he is a follower not a leader.

Although he claims to have spoken out on many issues how many of those issues were Mr. Fix?’s original thought? I believe the count would be around zero. Who came up with PATA? Who came up with slow or controlled growth? Obviously Mr. Fix has spoken out about many of these issues only after reading about someone else proposing them.

If Mr. Fix was to get elected to the Pickerington City Council would he be absent of original though and ideas when new challenges face the city and this community? Will he be the minor bird repeating ideas and issues given to him by an obscure handler off camera?

Clearly these postings about the discord amount the members of The Republican Club of Northwest Fairfield County shows the real result of poor leadership and who pray tell might that be? I believe their president was none other than Mr. Fix. Using his experience and leadership with this club should give us all some pause to wonder what he will do on council if elected. In six short months here is a club that when from a cohesive group under the leadership of Kyle Farmer and fresh off of a Presidential Election victory to a club deeply divided among the members. They openly oppose and reject Mr. Fix.

Despite the fact that the current city council has a very narrow majority and that small majority has stuck together to accomplish most of its promises made to the voters in 2003, will all of this progress be erased with a personally like Mr. Fix inserted into the mix? Would this have been done if Jeff Fix had been elected in 2003?

If you all follow the progress or lack of it with Mr. Sabatino you will quickly find him devoid of any original thought and only when coached by an outside handler does he really say anything that is understandable. Hopefully the Pickerington City Voters will not trade one potted plant for another.

Endorsement Process

The endorsement process is no different under Jeff Fix than it was under Kyle Farmer.

The fact of the matter is that both Mitch and Jeff need to understand you need to be able to work with everyone - even if their opinions are different than yours - look for common ground and move forward to the betterment of the community. They both need to leave playground politics and personal feelings at home. There's no place for them and this shows a level of immaturity that has me disappointed in Mitch and Jeff.

I was always told it takes two to have a problem.

Boys - it's time to learn how to play in the sandbox.

That is not true. I saw at least three application of the aboved mentioned. Even the those that were not in favor with the leadership were mailed applications.
