What are you smoking??
I?’ll take issue with this posting. This is very shallow and one-sided drivel as far as I can see. Before you posted this, did you talk to either Fix or O?’Brien? No, you didn?’t but I talked to O?’Brien and am awaiting a return call from Fix. In light of not yet receiving that, I will post my thoughts and if Fix calls me back I may amend the posting.
I asked O?’Brien what he knew of and what he thought of Fix. His answer was simply ?“We met a few years ago and have seen each other on occasion over the years since.?” I asked if there were any problems between him and Fix. He said not that he was aware of given the few times they see each other. I asked where and when they see each other and he said once a month at the Planning and Zoning meeting and at the occasional Republican Party event. I asked if they socialized or went to church together or had beers every now and again and he said no. He never even mentioned that Fix publicly questioned his oath of office and questioned his integrity and ethics at their June meeting as posted here on this website.
So ?“Grow Up Already?”, I ask you to show me the sandbox they are playing in. What playground are they romping on? Which personal feelings I spoke of above need to be left at home? Which of O?’Brien?’s answers were immature?
Also I ask you to demonstrate to me where O?’Brien has said a damn thing about all this politics of Pickerington crap outlined in these postings. Show me where he has come out with a public statement of damnation of either Fix or his Republican Club or his Republican buddies. You cite him as not playing well with others but show me an example of where he hasn?’t. Take your pseudonym from your posting, walk to a mirror and repeat it over and over to yourself.
I went to the Taste of Pickerington today to drop off stuff to one of the vendors. Guess who was there? O?’Brien and Keith Smith. They were volunteers setting up tables and chairs. They were moving trash cans. They were giving something back to this community. They weren?’t campaigning or doing what you are and politicking.
I am sick to death of politicians like you soiling the names of respectable and giving people in this community. Do you have any idea what it is like to be in public service? Get your nose out of the air, get your head out of your behind and quit trying to cram partisan politics down our throats. Matter of fact, quit politicizing any of this. There was no politics in these men setting up trash cans this morning. If Smith was endorsed by this Republican Club and O?’Brien wasn?’t, there didn?’t seem to be any evidence that this issue firmly divided them this morning. I doubt it will when they are both elected to council. Who cares about a Republican Club endorsement for a nonpartisan office? I sure as hell don?’t. Having a big R beside my name would be more like the kiss of death given what is happening statewide.
I support O?’Brien for what he has done on council, not for what he says he will do. He has proven to me he will do what he says. I support Smith for council because he was out there hand in hand with the community this morning with no political motives. If they say they support Kramer and Hammond, I?’ll support them too. How might Pickerington change if we have a council that only wants to work for Pickerington and not for political gain? I sure would like to find out.
