Is there anyone else that is sick of the disrespect the neighborhood kids show to properties.

I watch kids (of all ages and all times of the night) walk through neighbors front yards and back yards. Kids walk in the middle of the street and do not move for cars.

I allow all the kids in the neighborhood into my yard to play with my son and jump on our trampoline. I want to provide a safe place for kids to play, but after being disrespected by a mouthy 13 year old I may rethink this idea.

And what about the drugs and cars racing at all hours of the night??

I've only lived in this neighborhood for 6 months and I see all that is going on...what is being done about it??

I work to hard to keep my home nice and provide a safe place for my children..

I live on E Bell Avenue and there are tons of kids in the neighborhood.  All 13 & under, I believe.  Yes, they walk through front and back yards and have no respect for property or cards driving down the road.  I've lived in my house for two years and my back yard is completely fenced in.  When I first moved in, I saw kids opening and walking through my gates into my backyard.  I've been friendly with the kids when I see them outside and when I've had garage sales, they come over and keep me company or help me out.  Some of the kids have come over and helped me shovel snow or dig up dirt when I was doing landscaping.  I've shown them respect and they seem to respect me back.  Yes, it is annoying at first, but get to know them a little bit, talk to them, and I find that they will show respect back.

What is with hiding dates and initials under the light post. Is this a drug thing or what?
