Having a more user friendly website and sending out a monthly email newsletter is one of the new boards priorities. I wholeheartedly agree with you and hope to see you at the annual meeting on wednesday!

The pool slide is an insurance consideration. Most carrier companies will not insure a pool that has a slide since there have been so many injuries related to this type of equipment.

Who is "the goofy old guy with glasses" that you refer to? The Board Members who serve as volunteers have been installed within the last three years and have done a remarkable job. Trying to encourage members to attend meetings, getting involved in the items on the agenda, helping to plan the improvements for all members is not an easy job and someone is always unhappy but it seems there are not a lot of members packing the meetings and being present to help make positive changes. Instead of appearing to be a disgruntled member you are invited to help your association and be a positive part of the operation.
