I just read the politico link on HiR's post. The following is an excerpt:
"The resolution the NAACP approved at its annual conference in Kansas City alleges that tea party groups have used racist epithets in attacks on President Barack Obama and have verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress."
I, myself, have verbally abused members of Congress - not African-American members per se - but members of Congress for operating with a rectal/cranial inversion. But tell me please about all these so-called abuses. If the NAACP is referring about that famous accusation-laden walk when persons were supposedly called the n word and spit upon they need to get the TRUE facts. A reward of $100,000 was offered for any pictures/videos that proved those allegations and amazingly - NOT ONE iota of proof has ever appeared.
Like I stated earlier, these race-card ploys are getting very, very old and seemimgly without a leg to stand on.
If you have verbally abused anyone, even a member of congress, you're wrong for doing so. There are many documented cases of what could be called racist. Pointing fingers at the guilty is not my style, but rather I'd like to point at the action and call it for what it is. From pictures on posters, to billboads in Des Moines, a racist tone has been set by members of the Tea Party. The Tea Party can accept these actions and stand guilty as charged or simply denounce them.
As for proof.... Lack proof does not mean a crime did not happen.
