Tammy Moskites

Hi - my name is Tammy Moskites and I intend to run for Trustee tomorrow evening. After the last meeting, it became clear that the key to having a successful Homeowners Association is to have the right trustees working in your best interest - whoever you - the neighborhood chooses. It is without question that the last meeting was out of control and with that being said - and certainly no fingers being pointed - that cannot happen ever again. It just adds NO value. I read out here about following the Roberts Rule guidelines for meeting conduct, and I truely feel we must follow these rules as well. If done consistently, it not only protects the trustees, but it ensures that we have consistent process(es) and that we can make it through a meeting in a healthy way. I cannot guarantee you that an outburst isn't going to ever happen (no one can), but that is what makes a neighborhood a neighborhood, and people - well people! Different opinions are a GOOD THING, as long as they are healthy ''controlled'' discussions, and the trustees that YOU vote into the open position(s), take the time to listen, appropriately react, and never walk out when times get tough. If you get a chance to attend the meeting tomorrow - I encourage you all to do so. I look forward to the opportunity to meet those I don't know and for the rest of you who do know me - thank you all for your support and your friendship.

Respectfully,

Tammy Moskites

You Made your point

Tammy,

Why in your message do you have to talk about people walking out of the last meeting. Especially when you were supported by those who caused the disruption during that meeting. Be honest and admit that the meeting was out of control because of those in the audiance who wanted to make sure that happened. If the meeting would have followed the agenda, then nothing would have happened.

Did you not agree to withdrawl if a certain trustee could stay?? Was it not your intent to do so prior to the meeting? So did you not in fact ''walk out on your intent to run''? Please don't make certain accusations without full disclosure.
Thank You

Many people walked out of the meeting so many missed the second half of the meeting. As for support, I was supported by many in the audience and many who could not attend - not just those you feel disrupted the meeting. I feel there were multiple disruptions and truely feel in all cases that they added no value. My intention here on this discussion board was to just state my intent to run and to make the point that folks like yourself and the rest of the neighborhood are the ones to make the choice - not a chosen few. We can all make choices on whom we chose to support or not to. Yes. I did agree to step back from my intention to run, if I was unable to run if those on the board chose to stay. So I did not walk out, I feel I stepped up to what was the right thing to do.

I certainly apologize if you feel I made accusations and I want to reiterate that was not my intent. I truely want to be a trustee and feel that my background and passion show just that.

Lastly, please feel free to discuss with me at the meeting tomorrow... as I do not know who you are since you posted without disclosure of your name and you are certainly entitled to your opinion! Thanks so much for your post and have a GREAT day!

accusation

Tammy,

In your message you did accuse your competitor of walking out of the meeting. I was there and feel she had no other choice. I do not (feel) you made an accusation, you did. Read your message again. I think this was a rather low blow, and made without regard for the circumstances of the meeting.
