Landscape Committee ?

Before you form a committee, check with the HOA. Past precedent tells me that you won't get enough volunteers to have a checkers game. Everybody is gung-ho, but when it comes time to actually do the work, you'll have more no-shows than an Indiana football game. If you're serious, bring it up at the next HOA meeting, get a list of names and phone numbers. Good Luck !
A Winner!

Sounds like a winner to me. And if only 1 person shows up, then the entrance design is up to them! How can anyone complain if they don't show up!! My idea is pink flamingo's...I hope I'm the only volunteer!!!
I like it

Pink flamingos it is!! You need to be fair to the boys. Some blue cows might help.

where's the signup sheets

I love how people complaine that no one would show. Ask the trustees for the list of everybody who signed up a few years ago. Nobody on that list was ever contacted. Maybe nobody wants to volunteer because when they do, they don't get called. Just like the attorney that offered to help at the HOA meeting with the deed restrictions was never contacted. It is a shame to be blamed for not volunteering when the trustees are not following through on the lists they received. There was even an audit committee (budget or something like that). Wouldn't it be nice if we could get that started up again. Maybe people don't show up because when we ask to be involved, we are not called.

There were an awful lot of people at that meeting that signed up on those sheets. Maybe someone should look for them and start calling the residents on the list.
