A friendly reminder, slow down in the neighborhood! For those who do NOT know, a man in his 40's was riding a motorcycle too fast last night 10/10/07 and crashed in front of the school. He took out a sign and a tree in the process and died at the scene. The speed limit in the neighborhood is 25, not 50!! Keep this in mind.

A few of us neighbors have been talking about this lately and it is a big problem on our street of cars going 45 when our children are playing and riding their bikes. Is it possible to bring up at a meeting the idea of speed bumps. I know they are a hassle and probably expensive but it would work to slow down these people.

Saw the sign and tree on my walk this morning. If we could get a few speed limit signs it might help a little. Na guess not they don't even slow down for the stop signs!!

Speed bumps sound great, but the only thing is some of the kids now days would use them as a ramps for bikes. And some of the drivers I have seen around here would just speed up more to see how high they would go up in the air. I really don't know what can be done to slow drivers down. But we do need something I would hate to see a child get hurt or killed because some of the drivers have a lead foot
