One of the major concerns in our neighborhood is the traffic on Running River Road and Monument Landing Blvd. We have a real safety concern for our residents, especially our children. Please strictly observe the 30 mph speed limit. We are working on possible remedies to aleve this problem and we will keep you advised of our progress.

Traffic Remedies
I moved into the nieghborhood a year ago,I attended a few meetings where the traffic problem was discussed. As far as I can tell, nothing has been done to correct our problem.Granted I haven't been to a meeting in a long while, I work nights so it's hard for me to make them, but what progress if any is being made to resolve this problem? Speed is the biggest problem, I live right on Runningriver so I see it everyday.I get home at 5:30am and almost all of the traffic cutting through at that time of the morning is too fast as well as the afternoon traffic. As an eyewitness on almost a daily basis I can tell you that there is alot of teenagers speeding through daily.I fear most of the community isn't concerned with the problem because they live off the main throughway and don't see the problem. I hope it doesn't take a child getting run over to bring this to the forefront.Something needs to be done before its too late. Thanks for your time.

Traffic
We recently requested a traffic study to determine the number of vehicles that travel on Running River and are attempting to work with the city on solutions. We had to wait until school was back in session so that we could get a more accurate count. Also, I have recently joined Shadco (Sheriffs Advisory Council) alond with others to voice our concerns at their monthly meetings. We were denied a city grant earlier in the year to install speed humps. Let us know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!

Traffic problems
My husband and myself have lived in this community only a short time and are aware of the traffic problems. We own a home on Trotters Walk Way in the back of our community (closest to Kernan) I have noticed that in the mornings and afternoons it is nearly impossible to enter and exit our street because of thru traffic, which I believe comes from the the elementary school. I have also, on several occasions, noticed school buses using our neighborhood as a short cut- and far to often not observing the speed limit. I know it is a small amout of our daily traffic, but i find the example these public school buses inappropriate. I wondder if the community might be able to appeal the the School Board with these concerns. The same idea may also work with business vehicles that frequent our streets. I am sure that many business owners would be interested to know about employees that race down our streets. If we can't make people stop using our neighborhood, at least we could make it less appealing. Thank you!
