River Trails community
When I read your posting, I was amazed. We bought our home on Sabinas in 2001. We have never had any problems or issues. We love it here.
1. Mineral rights- this issue is up for discussion and everyone has an opinion. Depending on where you buy your home (and according to you, you have a big selection)it may not be an issue, as it is not an issue with us. Do research, ask questions, or just do nothing. It is up to you.
2. Poor soil/foundation- any community may have homes with foundation issues. Again, our home, no problems. I don't think it is just a River Trails problem, many homeowers have foundation problems or there would not be so many ads for foundation companies on TV.
3. Again, the strip club was up for disscusion. Some people felt strongly about it, others did not. I was worried about the drunk drivers, not the club itself. Everyone had an opinion, and the club did not go forward.
4. We are not a young family. We fell in love with our house and plan to retire here. I have seen many retirees, there is more of a mix than you think.
5. Finally, have you seen the news lately? The housing market is crazy. Again River Trails is not the only community with families struggling to keep their homes. This is having an impact over the nation. If that is a deterent to buying your home, you may be waiting awhile.
