When I took office I had been told of an informal agreement - it was not confirmed and I apologize for posting it in the first place. Sometimes a question is asked that means we need to research the answer and sometimes that answer is questioned and we have to research some more...that is why you may see posts with different information and that is why it may take some time to see a responding answer. I will be careful in future to explain when we have learned new information and what source it came from.
I agree with you here....info being posted incorrectly and you finding out that you are incorrect and then needing to research and repost. Suggestion - don't post until you know the truth.
Because of the repeated question on this chat board, we met with some of the members of the Lakes of River Trails board
There are many repeated questions on this chat board, glad to see you are in pursue of the truth on this one.
We are working to build a relationship with Lakes of River Trails and met for that purpose.
Build a relationship in order to use the pond? Seriously? So when Rivertrails has an event, do we need to start asking everyone that shows up if they are Lakes of Rivertrails and if so - to leave because our fee's pay for these events? Is that really how our association is going to move forward to deal with issues concerning both HOA's? This is going to get petty.
It is confusing and sometimes frustrating to have neighborhoods that border each other without clearly marked boundaries that have separate associations. It is further complicated because one is mandatory and the other is voluntary.
Again, is it only confusing if both HOA's do not cooperate with one another and treat this neighborhood as one and of course that little problem of posting incorrect info and setting us to be hassled by the Lakes residents when all along we thought we had permission to use the pond. That in itself is not easily overlooked. But go ahead and try to wash that under the table with your lame accuse of why it happened and how your going to try to make sure it doesn't happen again.
We do not have access to the insurance policy requested. We can only distribute the response we were given by the Lakes of River Trails board.
How do you know this is truth then?
I would like to also restate the last part of their response - "We will still bring this subject up at the next meeting to get an idea on how everyone feels on this request.
Can residents attend this meeting in August - Sept - the fifth of never so your hands can be untied? Why do you have to wait until then? This is a hot issue and needs immediate attention to be resolved. Why can't you schedule a meeting?
But unless we get the insurance people to change the policy at no additional charge and approval by two thirds of the HOA, our hands are tied.
Changing the policy to cover residents of both HOA's? What does this insurance policy cover? How much does that policy cost each month to all the Lakes Residents? For those who want to use the pond, can we pay this insurance fee to gain access? These should be questions you should have already asked and have answeres for.
The exact date has not been set, but we think that it will be sometime in August or September." My experience talking to presidents of HOA's and NA's tells me that they have a stricter set of bylaws because they are mandatory.
What are the by-laws that are stricter? Can you post them?
I hope that we can work something out in the future with Lakes of River Trails. To that end, I will continue to try to be a respectful and cooperative neighbor to them.
Hope? Hope you can? And I really hate when you post that we need to be respectful and cooperative neighbors. This is the second time you have posted that statement. Is that what you think of your residents? That we would behave less than that? Honestly, we are not children here and don't need to be reminded on how to act neighborly. I just hope that this issue can be resolved and the pond used by both bordering neighborhoods. This is a mess and RTHA needs to fix it.
What about the playground at the end of San Joaquin? Who owns that or has rights to it?
