isn't it funny how when posts are positive nobody replies.  are people happier if they're complaining?  something to think about.....

I believe this forum is here for everyone to discuss what they feel is important to them whether it's complaining or rewarding something in the neighborhood.

In response to since90s, you are abosutely correct, every trespasser should be dealt with the same, motor sports, fishing, or children on the play ground.  I have been here since 1993 and I saw the sprinkler heads being broken.

Every trespasser is not dealt with the same.  How do you think we should correct that issue?

why don't all you ATV/motorcycle riders get together and form a club.  go to Newell or who ever and ask permission to ride on his land?  make it for club members and each one has to sign a release to keep Newell from being sued if some one gets injured riding on his property.  I would think that is the biggest concern for the land owner has that been tried?

As a matter of fact,  we are trying to do something about it. We asked RTHA to invite Mr. Newell to the next home owners meeting and we have asked RTHA for contact information for Mr. Newell.  It's not like we are sitting here on our A#$% complaining on this forum and not doing anything about it.   It's when we are fed incorrect information that leads us down wrong paths - that is frustrating and causes mistrust in associations.

as for the children on the playground.  what can't a group of parents go to the HEB school administration and request neighborhood access.

I do not know what this issue is?

Is fishing illegal in the ponds? if so why,  how can it be changed?

What ponds?  The ones in our neighborhoods?  Right now the only residents that can use the ponds are those who pay HOA dues for the Lakes of Rivertrails...not Rivertrails residents due to the HOA insurance policy.  Rivertrails residents are not even allowed to jog around it.  If the insurance policy can be amended to include Rivertrails residents - the Lakes of Rivertrails has to approve our use by a certain percent - a vote is taken.

there should be a way for reasonable people to find a common ground. Sarcasm and degrading and insulting rhetoric is not the answer. we can make this space a space for positive exchanges instead of just complaints.

 Ok Ward,

there have been positive comments made on this board too.  This board is a reflection of how people feel whether it be positive or negative so enough already with your opinion of how it should be used.

You can legally ride a 4-wheeler on the street Mr. Cleaver, however, I do hope you call the police anytime you see a child in the street or unsupervised in the yard(remember under 18 is a minor) because the street is for Motor Vehicles...the back yard to pen up and protect your children from the evil-doers legally using the street on motor vehicles, and if they are unattended Ward that makes you negligent! Oh Yeah, and maybe you should read previous post before you interject that way you sound informed and intelligent.  I wonder why Mr. Kenneth Newell doesn't respond to some of the questions on this web-site?  I know one thing for sure, he doesn't own the river!

It is illegal to ride an ATV on the street.  It is NOT illegal to cross a public road at a 90 degree angle.  TRC663.037.

I believe it is also legal to travel down a public road for so many feet to gain access to open fields as long as your ATV has a red flag.
