Regarding grocery stores, from the people I talked with, the proximity of the Wal Mart Super Centers will keep anyone else away.   With the robberies at the bank at the Wal Mart on Precinct Line, I don't like going there if I have a choice.

I'd love to see HEB (owner of Central Market) to open up a regular store near here.

Wow - seriously they've had robberies at that bank? I knew about the killing with the husband/wife but not the other. Ok that makes me nervous now.

I don't like going to the one on Eastchase because the checkers are ugly acting. Same with Kroger and Albertson's. I usually go to the Kroger Signature on Hwy 26 or Market Street or Central Market. WE NEED A GROCERY STORE...hahahaha

When I go to the Eastchase Wal Mart I feel like I'm at a gangta convention unless I go before 8:00 a.m.     (Being a hoodlum means not having to get out of your crib before noon).   If you go after midnight, it looks like a Star Wars bar.

I cannot understand what is accomplished by acting surly to customers (and I have seen it at the Kroger's and Albertson's near Bridgewood     Eveyone I know once had job that they didn't care for.

Even though I don't care for their store brands (and that's all they have), even an Aldi food store would be welcome.   But they decided to build a store on Harwood across from Wal Mart.

I did go into that Aldi - and it so reminds me of a King Saver type of place. Some of the stuff might be a good savings but some offbrands make me nervous. I really hate going to the Eastchase Walmart, Kroger and Albertsons. We have all had jobs (like you said) that we dislike, but COME ON....Plus you have to make sure your car is locked and everything hidden. The places are usually cluttered or dirty. I'm not a snob by any means, but if I have to step over things, that's disconcerting.
