South Covington encompasses the most southern portions of our City. The Streets are laid our in typical modern suburban design with curvilinear patterns and cul-de-sacs. Most homes were built after 1970 and are single family with contemporary layouts. Scott High School and Taylor Mill Elementary are nearby, as is Pioneer Park, providing a variety of recreational opportunities. South Covington is within a short distance of I-275 with almost instant access to I-75/71.
The South Covington Community Action Association is a group of residents that are committed to improving and preserving the quality of life in South Covington. They meet monthly at the Hands Pike Firehouse on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. There are various guests at each meeting to help the residents address the issues they have identified as areas of concern. To suggest a topic or guest for an upcoming meeting, just contact any one of the Executive Committee members: Andrea Holland 859-363-1213 andrea@zoomtown.com; Nancy Ray 859-356-8713 UofLparents@fuse.net.
