Driveway Alterations
Karen,
The contractor said the concrete could start getting poured as early as this weekend, so anything we do or check into needs to be done asap. Shane's name was given to me as being the Pulte contact that awarded the contract. On Wednesday I sent an email to the graysonpark address with a few more details that I didn't mention in here.
My immediate thought is that until we can get some input from a few foundation experts on this (and I don't mean Pulte), we need Shane to at least put this project on hold. The way they've handled this is suspicious at best. They were completely wrong to handle it the way they did.
We need immediate cooperation from Pulte on this. If after we've had a chance to solicit input on our own and it turns out that concreting these areas is in our best interest, then we can go from there. However, it was designed by their architects this way, so I'm not inclined to believe that it's suddenly a higher priority than several other VERY hazardous, costly, and unsightly issues that Pulte has left us with and neglected to address for a long time. In my opinion, these driveway alterations need to take a back seat to the higher priority issues. Moreover, Pulte ought to work on these numerous other issues while giving us some time to better understand the driveway situation.
I know this may come as a shock, but I have many thoughts on this... some of which I'm not ready to discuss in this forum. Feel free to call me anytime to discuss this further. I'm happy to help however I can. (Please note, the phone number you have for me will be out of operation until 4/24. We got ''slammed'' by a phone company and now it will take 2 weeks to get our old number back. You can reach me using the 7743 business number I sent a few days ago.)
Thanks!
Rick
