-Maybe it is time

Richard:

Maybe it is time to find a new HOA. What about if we start a petition to have them out. How many signatures would be needed for this?

If you or any one reading this message know how many signatures are needed to get this people out, please post the answer here and we will take a first step to resolve the ''problem''

We are all paying enough ''HOA Dues'' and there is no excuse for such ''poor'' street lighting, etc...

Break-in Circumstances

Agree totally about the feeling one gets when their property is gone. I have not had it happend to my house, but did once go to may car only to find it ''gone.''

The last paragraph of the starting post leaves me with the impression that this break-in happened during the day (''Coming home from work''), unless the homeowner works nights and returned from work in the morning. If the break-in occurred during the day, streetlights would not be a factor contributing to the unfortunate incident. I would also be curious how the house was cleaned out without a neighbor noticing a vehicle and level of activity necessary to ''clean out'' the house. Maybe the house was sort of isolated at the time (no other occupied houses in the immediate vicinity). I just don't know for sure all the facts to join in and use a break-in as a catalyst.
