Just Curious-
When Sonoma Ranch becomes completely finished and a security guard tends the station at the entrance, will assessment fees change for the neighborhoods (ie. The Springs) that do not benefit from the guarded gate? I don't like the idea of paying for a service that I will not receive. Currently, everyone is paying the same HOA fee.
If you have any insight to this please respond.

GATES/GUARDS/HOA FEES
AT THE PRESENT TIME THERE ARE NO FUTURE PLANS TO UTILIZE GUARDS AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE GATE HOUSE ON RUIDOSA DOWNS. FURTHER, HOA FEES WILL REMAIN THE SAME FOR NOW ($480/YEAR).

Guardhouse
A while back, when Dee McGee was here, the recreation facility committee was told that there were never any plans to have a guard b/c the guard house was not equipped with running water or restrooms. I don't know if that's just a common courtesy or if it's an official rule.

gates/guards/hoa fees
please study the previous posts throughout the boards.
the guard stations and gates are purely for decoration and for draining the sonoma ranch hoa assessment money that pro-comm collects. they serve no real meaningful purpose.
the gates are used to help keep the gate maintenence company in business, the guard station is used as a marketing tool to give potential/current residents the false sense of security in the community.
i wonder how much mr tompkins enjoys dealing the gates?why not call and ask him?
i suggest the community forgo the gates and remove the guard station. imagine no gates and guard station, no costs associated with mantaining them. sounds like a great idea.
depending on whether a board member is willing to stick their beaks in(read special invite to **sandra**, richard, **AB Galo employee who took rachel's position**), perhaps having the galo employees removed from the board and firing pro-comm mgmt would help lower the assesments. who knows?...it could be a wonderful start.
