Ok Ive noticed several cars speeding down Bellemeade. Most of these people look as if they are just cutting through from Whippsmill to Shelbyville Rd. Having young children this really is bothering me. These people dont even bother to slow up when they see us walking either. I dont think speed humps would work as you can easily go over them without altering your speed as known in Mooregate. I really think something needs to be done. Any suggestions? 

The Speed humps on North Chadwick work well. I have tried them out at 30mph and they rattle your brains.

If citizens on Bellemeade road want speed humps they can petition the City  Commission.

70% of the residents of Bellemeade road would have to agree.

So how would one begin a petition for them to be installed? Whats the process?

You could also contact Officer Pickett  574-2258 with the 8th division that covers our area .  He can have a speed machine setup somewhere by  the road and /or  have officers patrol the area at your request.
