There were many opportunities for him to attend a commission meeting after he was contacted about the speed humps. He could have come to any meeting and voiced his objections.

It is nearly impossible to publish an agenda prior to a meeting and if you are not online there is no way at all. I do publish in the monthly Mayor's Message a brief of the meeting that month which usually includes items of business that are being studied for a later meeting. So if you know that something you are opposed to is coming up attend the next meeting and speak up.

I really don't understand this.  How long does it take to post something on here?  People don't trust goevrnment as it is.  I can see now that regardless of what a resident says, even a new resident who has a real need to know, that it is a real waste of time to try to dialogue on here.  Thus, this is my last post as I will be removing myself from the subscriber list.

I will be happy to answer you questions. I though I had answered this one.

The agenda is not fixed until the day of the meeting because commissioners have untill the night before to send an agenda item to the city clerk. She prints the agenda for the meeting prior to the meeting and the meeting is the first time any of us see it.

OK .....This is from someone who has lived on Bellemeade Rd. for over 20 years.   Because of speeders and people that run the stop signs we have needed speed bumps since I moved here.   They are great and the are WORKING and they were requested and petitioned by the majority off the residents that live on Bellemeade Rd. who have to put up with the speeders and stop sign runners.   This is how government is supposed to work by serving the needs of the people.

Yes!  They do work!  Unlike the ones on Chadwick, they are tall enough and close enough to leave a body no choice but to slow down unless they want to destroy their car (even an SUV like mine).
