They will discuss adding 1000 ft to the runway at Albert Whitted airport.They need the extra runway for Pilotless aircraft.They will be like the ones in Afganistan looking for terrorist.You know the ones that crash and no one knows why. Big proposal review on Wed 4/17

A notice appeared in CONA's April newsletter for 2nd round of hearings:

(1) Rob Barton, Director of Economic Development & Property Management, City of St Petersburg.

He will present and review proposals made to CONA and City Council for the future of the waterfront from Bayfront to the Port including the airport.


(2) Bob Jeffries, Development Services, Urban Design & Historic Preservation, City of St Petersburg.

Bob will discuss how St Pete Vision 2020 can interact with the first set of proposals.

I heard that ACH has a secondary motive for wanting the airport closed. They can not build their hospital any higher becase of the runway.
