Last night I received a telephone communication from a North Shore resident stating that Greg Burton and Kate Hoffman were saying that I am in possession of the completed North Shore National Historic District Maps.
Let me make this perfectly clear.
I do not have them. Rob Wertz does.
I have been asking Rob Wertz and Mike Daily for these maps since the middle of May. This is when Tern van der Veen and I completed the field corrections and I delivered them to Rob for him to make the drafting corrections.
Ever since that time I have persistantly asked Rob Wertz about his progress in making the drafting corrections on these maps. To date all I have gotten out of Rob is that he is working on it and that he has no idea when the maps will be complete. I originally estimated the time it would take to be ten to twenty hours, tops.
What I do have is the Application Booklet that the Historic District Committee completed. As chairman of the committee I am waiting for Rob to deliver the maps to me so that the committee can deliver it to the Mayor who will then pass it on to the appropriate staff for handling and processing.
Until Rob Wertz decides to let go of the maps the entire neighborhood is being affected and the National Residential Historic District, that upwards of thirty people have worked on for over three years, is at a complete stand still.
