Beautification Committee

How nice

Well, how nice of you to let us know how modest you are. Certainly it was not you that spoke about your labors at every meeting and put articles in the newsletter all the time.
Not to mention the fact that you were probably the leader of this agreement with the city in the first place since you were the one who designed the monuments. And wasn't North shore the first with one of these agreements? And wasn't your son a member of College Cutters?

Honestly do appreciate the hard work though by you and especially the others.
''Retirement''

The reason its become a big topic of conversation is because you dropped your responsibility in anger, did not think about the best interests of the neighborhood in providing a transition and in 4 years of leadership did not groom anyone on your committee to assume leadership. Then, after dropping the ball, you sat back to point the finger at others for not taking care of this area of responsibility. Same behavior as the previous newsletter editor. If you had the best interests of the neighborhood association in mind, your behavior would be different.
How Very True

How very true your posting is. It seems to be great game of some sort to drop the responsibility and then name call. But your best points are that this is a display of poor leadership and lack of wanting the best for the community.

Either total control or nothing.
Pat on the Back

Please let me give you a pat on the back. Yes, you did form the committee and several people volunteered and pretty much left you with the ball because they could not work with you. Some stayed out of dedication. But if I remember correctly, the last couple of meetings, you asked for volunteers because you were the only one left. Hmmm. What does that say?
