It says more about you than me.
At each and every general membership meeting I ask for volunteers. What better place to ask is there than at our meetings. I have always, contrary to what you believe, been inclusive. Anyone who wants to pull weeds is welcome.
As for not wanting to work with me. Think again. Just a couple of weeks before the Stop CVS group came after me I had two large groups who helped spread about 30 yards of city mulch over on 4th street and 5th avenue along with general weeding, tree trimming, trash pickup, etc. Let's see, each time I had about ten people there. All of these names I have recently given to Susan R.
So as for working alone? I did work alone alot. Why? I like to. What is wrong with that? Besides, you can not believe how much one person can accomplish by doing 5 or 10 minutes a day. A little here and a little there.
Like picking out the trash on a single island as you drive by. Simply pull over, pick it up, and move on. I used to do that all the time. Now its your turn.
As for the volunteers leaving me. Again you do not know what you are talking about. Over the coarse of four years my list of volunteers got longer and longer. I never had a shortage. They are your neighbors. Do not put them down. They are great folks and always did great work. I know who they all are and I will be eternally grateful to them for the kindness and support they showed me and North Shore.
