Hi everyone. It was brought to my attention that a homeowner complained about dog hair by the wooded area (past Ron's house about 4 or 5 houses). Ron was nice enough to kindly ask if it was my dog. It was not. I always pick up any hair that I brush off of my dog. I bring a bag just for that. I think it is gross to leave dog hair anywhere. But, I was concerned that others might think this is Blue's hair as well. In fact, we have seen that hair for the past couple of months and have picked it up (on our walks). The last time we saw it there my husband, Walt, said not to pick it up because we were just enabling the person to continue to do this. Anyway, we decided to knock on a few doors and got lucky because the first house we stopped at (which was directly across from where all of this hair is - and there is a lot of it), was indeed the lady that has the dog that is being brushed there. She was kind to tell us that it was her husband brushing the dog there and that they do not pick it up because it is a common area and the hair will just blow away. I did mention to her that someone else thought it was my dog, and that we had picked it up (a big bag full) twice before. She appreciated that but said please let them know that it is her dog and that she will continue to do this and won't be picking it up. She was very nice about it and I understand where she is coming from, even though I do not agree with it. Unfortunately, she may have been thinking the hair is just blowing away because Walt and I have picked it up. So, that is our fault for that one! We won't be picking it up anymore because it is enabling and also kind of nasty because it isn't my dog. Anyway, just wanted everyone to know this and also I want to thank everyone that has been now picking up their dog poop! It has gotten much better around here. One of the many pains of having a dog. But, you get used to it! I used to pick up others poop but have stopped doint that too because someone told me it is just enabling them to continue to do this.
Thanks again Ron for all that you do to help our community stay pretty! Anything you need from Walt and me, just let us know. We try very hard to trim trees in the common areas so people don't get poked in the winter and we pick up trash others have left behind, especially at the Gazebo. We are willing to have a neighborhood day to clean up or do anything else needed.
