Thank you for all the support.  There is a community police forum meeting tonight at Rising Star Baptist Church from 7 to 8pm.  I encourage everyone to attend.  When calling 911 from my cell phone I had to be re-routed to Fort Worth police department and waited on hold for less than a minute before reporting the burglary.  I was very clear in telling the dispatcher that I was not going into the house since I interrupted them.  I do believe the problem is with the dispatcher however the police department was running speed traps all morning long on Trinity while these break-ins are happening.  Generating revenue for the city has become very clear the main objective for the police department than protecting its citizens.

I work for a police department nearby and all day long I am entering mostly residential burglaries into the system. And I am entering probably 50% more then last year. Crime is up, way up. The city I work for has a great police online system where citizens can look at live calls as they occur, plus other cool references.  I wish Fort Worth had the same.

I am not a police officer but I am pretty sure there is an officer that lives in our neighborhood who has given us all great advice in his/her posts.

Ok, all the "advice" obviously isn't a crime deterrent so what we need is the Police to RESPOND as quickly as they do on riders in the trails, or neighbor noise waking Baby!  Perhaps we can all take the attitude as Psycho POS on San Joaquin and buy guns and be neighborhood vigilantes since we have no police protection, except to know that the speed limit on Trinity is definitely 40 and there is Absolutely no trespassing in the woods......this is all re-DAMNDICULOUS and again HOA Board....the sound of silence!

Agreed! I guess I live in a different world than some out there, the only time I've seen a patrol car in my area is when they are headed to the park. Damn outlaw riders! Now if I was to include Trinity Blvd, that's a different story. But as I posted a few months ago, we must all remember that a speeding ticket or a trespassing/noise pollution fine is a revenue generating device. Patrols to stop crime only costs $$ and has no positive cash flow. I have less of a chance of getting pulled over on Thames for doing 50 than I would on Trinity. (I do observe the limits within our neighborhoods, our kids are too important)

As far as the vigilante comment, it almost seems that will be the only protection we have. The cops didn't seem to mind POS of SJ pointing a gun at a mother and daughter. And that wasn't the first time I had heard of him pulling a gun on an innocent.  Before this last election, I think Melissa would have chimed in by now. I guess the"power" has corrupted her attitude toward the "neighbor" part of neighborhood. Not even the xeroxed "we need more volunteers" response. She is definitely an HOA Board elite.

To point of an increase in crime rates, DUH? If your a criminal and you know the cops are slow.... I've known some people of questionable character in my life, and that info is shared. Easy pickins is how it used to be called.
