Swan Lake Neighborhood Association

Today I was telling a couple of Swan Lake Park visitors the history of Swan Lake and told them that we have a statue called "Enchantment" at the east end of the lake that came from one of the fountains at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair.  I told them to go read the plaque on the back of the statue noting such.  They came back to me saying that the plaque was gone!  I was shocked!  Does anyone know if it was removed for restoration purposes or stolen?  I have contacted a friend on the World's Fair Collector's Assoc to ask if there has been any sign of it maybe on ebay or other.  Would appreciate any information.  Thanks!
