YOUR ASSOCIATION AT WORK

The Tanglewood Homeowners Association welcomes all residents to this informative site.

The Association is your only community-based organization, formed on October 2, 1989.

The Association is responsible for maintenance of the subdividion entrances and in 2002 the Membership approved and implemented an extensive renovation project of the entrance, which included new flood lights and signage.

In 2004 the Association adoped the use of an insignia/logo on all written correspondence, newsletters, flyers and membership information. Since 2002 the Association has cautioned all residents to look for this insignia/logo to validate the legitimacy of any distributed information coming to their home.

The official newsletter of the Association is TANGLEWOOD TALKS and bears the insignia/logo.

In 2006 the Association advertised local businesses in the TANGLEWOOD TALKS NEWSLETTER and offered Association Members discounts from local retailers.

The Association has window supporter signs for sale with any membership.

TANGLEWOOD HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

The Tanglewood Homeowners Association has been a unique organization, committed to the subdivision's residents for more than 20 years. The Association has continued to achieve positive results while striving to portray Tanglewood's properties as some of the most valuable in the City of Southfield.

This achievement was no small feat and has been accomplished in spite of many trials and tribulations.

The Association is now facing a challenge which is threatening it's very existence .....and that is a dwindling membership. However, know that Tanglewood certainly is not exclusive in this struggle, as evidenced by the dismantling of neighborhood organizations throughout the City of Southfield.

Only the residents of Tanglewood can determine the fate and the success of the Tanglewood Homeowners Association.

2008 - 2009 dues is now being accepted for new and renewed membership in the Tanglewood Homeowners Association. Dues of $20.00, payable to the Tanglewood Homeowners Association, can be mailed or dropped off to the Membership Chair at 27406 Sutherland or 27156 Selkirk, Southfield, Michigan 48076.

Membership Cards will be available to paid members in good standing.

CARING NOT CURING

The official Tanglewood Homeowners Association, established in 1989, as well as the community at large, is being challenged with the contemporary changes in family structures; mobility of society; changing values of community; and economics.

Because of these factors it is necessary that the official Tanglewood Homeowners Association, established in 1989, constantly strive to address the changing concerns and needs of our community.

The objective is not only to survive, but to be counted on as a viable organization, trying to make a difference.

The official Association, established in 1989, cannot be expected to cure all of life's problems but certainly care enough to make an effort; with your support!!

UNPRECEDENTED AND UN-BOUGHT

Eventhough city officials acted with unprecedented interference in controlling the outcome of issues within Tanglewood', the official TANGLEWOOD HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, established in 1989, IS STILL HERE AND STILL SERVING THIS COMMUNITY!

With the City's own "elected" and installed slate of "officers" operating under the same name, "Tanglewood Homeowners Association", it's no wonder residents have expressed so much confusion and dismay.

As a result, the participation of residents in ANY "ASSOCIATION" in this neighborhood has declined almost to extinction.
