Dear Valued SAWS Customer,

As a SAWS ratepayer, you have invested in sound water management, making San Antonio water's most resourceful city.

San Antonio Water System is requesting a net rate increase of 9.9 percent in 2013 to meet the basic needs of the sewer system and to reduce sanitary sewer overflows and bring new water supplies to San Antonio.

This would mean the average monthly residential bill would go up by $4.93. Even with this increase, our rates would remain among the lowest in Texas.

Complete proposed rate information is available on the SAWS website at this link: http://www.saws.org/rates.

If you would like to see the effects of rate changes on your bill, a rate calculator is available: http://www.saws.org/service/rates/ratecalc/
