how much do WE get?
My lot is 0.1565 acres and I own all the rights, so if I did my math correctly I'd get a bonus of $1,565. Lets say your lot is the same size. If you own 1/2 the mineral rights, you would get 1/2 that amount. Then when the royalties roll in, out of the measly $25 we might get for a lot our size, you'd get 1/2 of that as well. Not much $ and really not worth signing in my opinion.
Once they start drilling, there is going to be a significant increase in the amount of dust in this area. Your cars will be filthy and the are you are breathing will be too. If you have severe allergies and asthma like me and my kids do, its going to wreak havoc on our health and quality of life. Not to mention, they put crushed limestone on the ground around where they are drilling to keep it from getting muddy. That limestone dust will also be in the air. Once limestone mixes with water, its very acidic. So when that dust in in the air you breath, that is going to mix with the moisture in your sinuses and other areas and become acidic. Not healthy. Also, when the dust falls on your cars and it rains or their is morning dew, it will become acidic. Not good for the ole' paint job.
So now think, is that measly sum of money worth it to you now?
