At the recomendation of the Landscape Committee, the Board has unanimously approved the installation of a fountain for the lake between Enclave Way and Rock Forest. The estimated cost is $6000. We wanted to ask the community's opinion about installing a fountain in the second lake at the same time, probably another $6000. The other option would be to wait and see what the first looks like before deciding if an additional fountain should be installed.
We are interested in your opinion. Please let us know what you think.

Send me a picture
Hey Board,
Send me a photo of what the fountain will look like (from literature or something similar) and I'll post an artist's rendition of the lake with the fountain in it so we can all take a look. $6,000 is alot to spend without knowing exactly what we're getting!!!

P.S. I think it's a great idea!

fountains
I really didnt want the first one. Not interested at all in the second one. Other than aesthetics, I see little value. The TP&W has validated that it makes no effect on the alge. I see this as an added ongoing expense that doesn't add accountable value to the property. Many homeowners see the lakes for their peace and quiet, in a city where that is hard to find. I see it as a tremdous value to enhance the beauty naturally, not by man made intervention.

Further Cost Discussion
As a member of the landscape committee, I believe the neighbors should be given more details before asking their opinion. In addition to the initial installation costs of $6,000 there is a monthly electrical cost of $300+ to run both fountains. There is an additional electrical installation charge for the second lake. There is required annual maintenance. The motor warranty is 3 years & the installer could not supply a life expectancy of the motor. We did much research and determined the fountains to be purely aesthetic. I voted for the first fountain as a compromise. I am opposed to the 2nd fountain. I believe we will face more important financial concerns and do not need to take on additional financial burdens at this time.
