Pedestrian Gate
In addition to not broadcasting the security number, I want to remind everyone to firmly close the pedestrian gate. I live by the gate and I have had to close the gate several times. I've witnessed cyclists and joggers open the gate and continue on their way without a thought of closing the gate. Thank you.

new gate code
As fate would have it we are in the process of having the gate codes changed--within the next several weeks you will be reciving a flyer fom the management company asking for information from you with regards to telephone numbers which she will put into the gate entrance. So when you receive this flyer, please return it as soon as possible. After this is done, we will be putting a new code in, which will be passed on to the neighborhood. We hope to change the code every 6 months from this point on based on the feedback from the neighborhood.

Security
I put our ''security'' code on the front gate when we have an open house, and will continue to do so. We have to let people in to see our house. We have a realtor, but the 'drive by' lookers are still very important. I believe the front gate is more psychological security than real. We have had many friends come by who never called us to get in, it is far too easy to just follow someone in. I have seen lines of cars come in at the same time. Without a guard at the front gate to check who is entering there will not be real ''security''.

Outrageous!
Thanks for your selfless contribution to the safety of this community, and my family. By posting our security code on the gate you are compromising our security even further. All because you want to sell your house.
I'd like to know why you think that your convenience outweighs the security of the 150+ families, mine especially, you're leaving behind?
Our security ain't great, I'll give you that. But you are providing the criminals just one more opportunity, one more weakness, for them to exploit. The fewer opportunities we give them the better we all are.
Those of us who remain behind shouldn't have to live at the mercy of your convenience.
Respectfully,
Layne
