Note: you can save time at the the NoAquiferBigBox web site, where there are links to send email and feedback directly to Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart seems to be rejecting emails, especialy the duplicats, so make sure your Subject line is unique and add some comments at the begining of any email or letter you cut and pasted into your email.

Letter by US Mail are more impressive, if you want to take the time to add a stamp.

Wal-Mart thinks we will lose interest in this protest, especailly once the bulldoze down the trees. They are anxious to break ground and oblivious to all else, publicly, however, internally, they are pulling their hair out. It seems that Sam Walon's surviors were the worst kind of ruthless businessmen, who stop at nothing short of a court order and police barades. That's may be how the OLD west was won, but it' s not how civilized people work together.

The only smiles are Wal-Mart are the ones you see on their greeters - no one else enjoys working there after a few weeks. I know, I asked them !!

Weak BOD strengthens Wal-Mart

Russ,

Circle C seems to be backing down on their opposition to Wal-Mart.

I believe the lack of trust with our current BOD caused the Circle C Wal-mart meeting at kiker to only round up about 60 people out of the 5,000 or so adults that live here in Circle C. That's about a 1% turn out. I know it's summer, but the weakness of the BOD is very apparent.

The NO WAL-MART banner is gone now (someone actually did complain - one person).

The coalition people for NoAquiferBigBox tell me that Jim O'Rielly is balking at signing a resolution (a joint resolution that all the other HOAs have signed) that opposes any Big Box commercial development. I did get this second hand, but apparently Jim only wants to object to ''Wal-Mart'' specifically.

In other news, Don Rojas also made a fool of himself at the OHAN meeting. Not only has Circle C NOT paid it's tiny $50.00 fee to be a part of OHAN, but Rojas verbally attacked members of the Save Our Springs Association and he claimed that Circle C was only concerned about the adverse Traffic and not any other environmental issues.
It's does not suprise me!

Come on, let?’s all get with the Circle C program. This development is not about saving the environment, the aquifer, trees, wildlife it's only about saving money and making money. How can the squatting BOD support a ban on all Big Box? How would these Bradley monkeys continue to build? They still have to pave the aquifer on 45! Bradley, Bartlett, any of the other good old boy land owners only care about squeezing as much as they can from this beautiful land surrounding Circle C. Another sign of this area being degraded is the absence of certain birds. Scrub Jays are GONE around most parts of Circle C & 1826. They need SCRUB to live. Golden Fronted Woodpeckers are GONE. They need large trees w/ nesting cavities. We now have their replacements, European Starlings! Why should you care? These are signs of the continued degradation of the land out here. We keep focusing on the Wal-Mart and the aquifer. But how about the shopping center going up on William Cannon & Mopac? How about the fact that Loews also wants to build there? (go to noaquiferbigbox) These big chain mega stores are moving in fast. The so-called charter of CCR that the BOD is trying to preserve is already becoming just like any other housing development in America. Look at the stars now, because they aren?’t going to be here soon!
Correction

In my last email I meant to say Character of CCR NOT Charter
