What has gone wrong with Skyview? I went there 20+ years ago when it was a nice neighborhood elementary, now nobody from the neighborhood would dare send their childreen there. I have heard about a new school planned, does anybody know about it? As a parent with children about to be of school age, I would like to know what others have done besides send their kids to private school. If there is a new school planned, will that mean that Skyview will be primarily for children of homeowners? I am afraid that without a strong voice in the commumity, RISD will continue to bring in kids from the many area apts. that will continue to bring down the value of our homes. When it is time to sell your house, your better believe that a potential buyer will judge your home by the elenentary schools as much as the property itself.
