cooper,

Take Faith up on his offer to transport you to the next working meeting. It would do you good to talk about your concerns, and to see how the board is handling this problem, which will affect every home in Towne Lake, not just yours. Instead of posting and reposting the same complaints and arguments ad nauseum, you may get some answers and some satisfaction. And if you don't, maybe you'll finally understand WHY your questions can't be answered at this very moment.

If you refuse this offer, please, please stop spamming this board with your posts. The BOD is doing its best to resolve this problem to everyone's advantage. They all live here, too -- don't forget that, please. They are your neighbors, not your enemies!

Is it me, or does the explanation given to us about the exact cost sounds a lot like sonething Donald Rumsfeld would give.

I am not a resident of your neighborhood, but I have a relative who is and have been reading about this issue regarding your lake, and would like to offer some advice.

As many of you have referred to, the information you get from Edwards Aquifer Authority and SAWS is not always 100% truthful/accurate - there are way too many politics involved with the issue.  If you do some searches, it doesnt take too long to find independent contractors, hydrologists, biologists, etc. to confirm that there is plenty of water in the aquifer for years and years to come.  So why are we doing stage 2, not filling pools, not maintaining lake levels, etc.?  It all goes back to a little pink fish(the snail darter) up in San Marcos mixed in with the history of some careless wells by a catfish farmer in the early 90's(http://www.edwardsaquifer.net/pucek.html).

So my point?  Assuming your lake is drawing from the Edwards, why not see if your lake has it's own 'snail darter' and see if you can get the same protection for your lake as the springs in San Marcos have?  Hire a biologist(s) experienced in fresh water and aviary protected/endangered species and have them check out your lake.  Couldnt cost as much as the lawyers are costing you, and may get you a much greater benefit.

My $0.02.  Good luck with your endeavors.

In response to "TheMajority"  Cute!  Nice to have a sense of humor.

The well log was completed.  RealManage has not received a copy from Haskins Pump Service.  All indications are an Edwards Aquifer well.

Since our pump is out we can safely post our last meter reading for the monitoring period & forward the information to our compliance officer at Edwards, Earl parker.  Earl will calculate our past due management fees.

Buck Benson, our attorney, will be present at our June 30th Roundtable meeting to answer questions & help guide us through our troubled waters.
