One of my neighbors told us her car was broken into this week. Another neighbor reported someone tried to break into his home last week.

Our primary deterants are our gates and cameras. Both were not working during this time.

We need to fix these things as soon as they go down because it is a sign to bad guys that no one cares about security in this neighborhood.

I am sure several people were broken into, these guys dont just hit one car and leave.

If I had a ladder that could get up to the camera I would point it and tighten it down, which I assume is all it needs.

We need to look at adding a battery backup to the gate. Everytime power goes out people have to basically take the gate apart and it never gets put back together quickly.

For battery backup they would use a couple car batteries and possibly a solar panel to keep them topped off. I cannot image it costing very much.

You are spot on.  All it takes is interested, concerned, informed, educated residents with time effort & money combined with detailed accountability from a semi cetralized body of leaders combined with a decentralized group of voters who pay their assessments (dues for the Webby) and follow through by the group. Whew!  Pleasee note that the structural apperatus supporting the camera is conduit intended to carry cable.  I'll hold the ladder while you climb.  I'm done, you are right!  Let's do it.

I have a ladder, but why do we all pay for the dues each month and get very little in return?  I brought a friend over last night who is a SAPD Officer and he told me that is what the drug, sex, thieft, ect. are looking for.  I just purchased my on protection from Academy.  I moved here to be safe from apartment living to have a safe place to live!
