When my most wonderful neighbor has the time, I would be very grateful for him to take the mower to J&L.  I seem to be on a roll here with awesome people in my life.

Granted mine was a push mower and after draining the fluids and removing the bolts and replacing the new blade when it arrived in the mail my mower worked like a charm. And I saved all that money from parts mark up and labor, and I still have both hands. Of course I wasn't trying to start the motor like an old bi-plane, but if you're mechanically inclined and have a smidge of common sense I'd save the money for the increasing assesments coming our way. EBH,

It is not a matter of racheting a few bolts,

1. did you unplug the spark plug wire?   If you don't you might start up your engine the old fashion way.(you'll be known as Lefty)

2. the blade has to be secured very tight. or it will just spin and spin.

I would take the blade or machine to J@L on Austin Hwy..they provide excellent service and can do all of that for you.

Ask your neighbor (Maddie's grandpa) to load it on the truck and take it...
